Welcome to our school

Welcome from our headteacher Tracey Penman

At Manor Mead we are committed to giving all of our children the very best start to their education.

As a school community, we have high aspirations and expectations for our children in reaching their full potential.  We are proud of all of our children’s achievements and it is a privilege to be able to be a part of their learning journeys. At Manor Mead Shepperton and Virginia Water we have a focus on supporting all pupils to be settled and happy, and employing the very best strategies and individual approaches to overcome their individual barriers to learning.

  • Communication sits at the heart of all the school does. In the early years classes, children engage with the adults around them. They develop trusting relationships quickly with adults through joyful and supportive interactions. Pupils learn to read or recognise objects, symbols or words successfully, at a level that is appropriate for them. This enables pupils to access the world around them. Teachers and teaching assistants have an impressive level of in-depth knowledge about the different ways in which pupils in their class learn to communicate.
